The world’s biggest bond market extended its advance toward its best month since March after a $16 billion sale of 20-year Treasuries, Bloomberg reported.
The S&P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 rose by 0.41% and 0.97%, respectively, as on 1:07 p.m. New York time. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.51%.
Brent crude was trading 2.75% higher at $82.83 a barrel. Gold was lower by 0.17% at $1,977.51 an ounce.
